Hamilton Gets Best Odds to Win Italian Grand Prix 2017
August 31, 2017
Lewis Hamilton’s amazing win in the SPA circuit sets him with the highest Italian Grand Prix 2017 odds. Despite Sebastian Vettel having the better car for the Belgian Grand Prix, Hamilton’s tactical driving earned him the number one position.
Regardless, Vettel’s performance makes him the second favorable racer for the next race. Valtteri Bottas, on the other hand, gets a slight downgrade after finishing fifth in SPA.
Hamilton and Vettel odds
Bitcoin sportsbook platforms still set their eyes at the Briton for the next Grand Prix. Cloudbet has him at 1.55 while William Hill is giving him 1.57. Meanwhile, Vettel’s performance improved his stance with the bookies in the next race. Cloudbet is giving him 3.850 though William Hill sets him at 4.50.
Mercedes should have had the home town advantage in the last race since the car is built to handle the legendary SPA circuit. According to Hamilton, though, Ferraris are far more optimized for the Belgian Grand Prix than his and Bottas’ car. This is thanks to the addition of ultra-soft tires on the Ferrari machines.
Almost throughout the race, Hamilton and Vettel were locked in an intense duel. While the two had only gone wheel to wheel with each other about twice in the last track, there was a tense atmosphere between the two as Vettel kept it close to Hamilton to deliver the pressure. Hamilton kept his cool in every lap. Even with a safety car restart, Hamilton did not give up his position to Vettel.
Hamilton’s victory in SPA shaved the gap between his season standing with Vettel. The Briton is just seven points away from the top position where Vettel is sitting.
The two top drivers are in top form in the Belgian Grand Prix and are likely to deliver the same performance in Italy. Bookies are likely to consider the past results of the Italian Grand Prix as well. Hamilton won the Italian Grand Prix twice in a row in 2014 and 2015 while Vettel got the title in 2013.
Bottas and Raikkonen
Valtteri Bottas is the third favored to win the next Grand Prix. William Hill has him at 5.00 while Cloudbet is giving him 5.250. The fourth one to win is Kimi Raikkonen with odds of 13.25 from Cloudbet and 17.00 from William Hill.
The podium was just not in the cards for Bottas in SPA despite bookies setting him as the second favored racer. Bottas could not match Hamilton’s pace and the restart puts him at a disadvantage. The last Grand Prix ends his five race podium streak as he places fifth. Bookies are still considering his past performance which is why Bottas is still the third favored for the next race.
Raikkonen, on the other hand, made a mistake of giving Vettel a two in his final lap. Vettel got to the front row along with Hamilton. This mistake led to Raikkonen taking the fourth place in the race.
