Odds: Warriors Will Rule NBA Western Conference Anew

Date Posted: October 20, 2017

Odds do expect the Warriors to dominate the NBA Western Conference again this season with Bitcoin sports betting sites listing the team with the highest odds to win.

Trailing behind the Golden State Warriors in Bitcoin sportsbook sites is Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs. Analysts, on the other hand, believe that the Spurs have a good chance in beating the Rockets and Warriors this season.

Golden State to rule the West

Golden State has the commanding odds for the Western Conference. William Hill gives the NBA champion 1.28 odds while Bet365 sets the team 1.33 in the outright market.

These odds are simply confirming what almost every NBA fan knows. The Warriors are the best in terms of the roster led by the likes of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant who are three of the 10 most powerful players in the world. There is also Steve Kerr, Jordan Bell, Nick Young, and Klay Thompson. This roster covers any offensive or defensive hole.

Although Golden State has a very good chance at winning the conference, reaching the finals, and winning the finals again, its market prices in the outright market can put off many bettors with such payout rate. It is, therefore, recommended to look for handicap bets for individual matches to find a good price for the Warriors.

Houston and San Antonio odds

The only two teams that have a chance against the Warriors are the Rockets and the Spurs. Houston gets 7.50 from Bet365 and 7.00 from William Hill while Spurs are very close to the Rockets with odds of 8.00 from both Bitcoin sportsbooks.

Rockets and Spurs reached the quarterfinals in the previous playoffs. Spurs won with 2-4 and moved to the semifinals where they lost to the Warriors with 0-4.

Fortunately for the Rockets, the team saw an improvement in their odds with the addition of Chris Paul from the Clippers and he happens to be nine-time NBA All-Star player. He averaged 18 points while playing with the Clippers.

Houston also has P.J. Tucker, a veteran player who has six years under his belt. Tucker was given multiple votes for the NBA All-Defensive team in three seasons out of four. His rebound count is in double digits about 10 times during the 2016-17 period. Tucker is the solid shield to the Rockets’ lance which is Paul. The duo poses a serious threat against the Warriors if the Rockets are consistent with its performance.

San Antonio also improved during the off-season. Popovich’s men are looking hungrier and sharper than the previous playoffs. Kawhi Leonard will sit out the season opener to tend to his quadriceps. His leadership will be important to push the team to go toe to toe against the warriors.  LaMarcus Aldridge can also bring in more to the table. The key to the Spurs’ victory will be deciding which key offense or defense players to rest on certain games.
