Usain Bolt Gets PokerStars Sponsorship for His Final Race
July 14, 2017
The eleven-time world champion sprinter will take part in the IAAF Monaco Diamond League for the last time. Usain Bolt, who is hailed as fastest man alive in the world, will run the race in London with the PokerStars sponsorship.
Despite the IAAF being his last race, Bolt is currently in his top form. This can be seen with his final race in Jamaica last month where he won with 10.03 seconds.
IAAF Monaco Diamond League
The IAAF will be Bolt’s swan song for his career. For decades, he has been streaking across the tracks. He won eight Olympic gold medals from 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relays. If he is not winning gold medals, he is taking World Championship titles. He has 11 World Championship titles and has achieved winning three titles for both the 100m and 200m sprint.
Apart from winning golds or titles, Bolt also constantly breaks world records. His previous world record was 9.69 seconds in a 100m race. In 2009 at Berlin, he broke it by shaving it down to 9.58 seconds.
Throughout his career, the fastest man alive has enjoyed an incredible amount of achievements and praise from audiences across the globe. This is why his last IAAF run on July 22 will be an emotional race for most people.
This year’s IAAF will be one of the most hyped events of the year due to Usain Bolt. In fact, there is a massive demand for more than one million tickets since August last year.
Usain Bolt will likely be this year’s most favored sprinter across almost every Bitcoin sportsbook. This can be seen with his victory in Jamaica last month. Despite having a poor start, Bolt still finished the race with 10.03 seconds.
There are currently no odds yet for the IAAF. However, it is a good idea to regularly check any major Bitcoin sportsbook that is likely to cover the event like Cloudbet or William Hill. With Bolt’s popularity, price on his odds has a good chance of going down rapidly.
PokerStars sponsorship deal
The Amaya Inc. owned PokerStars will sponsor the fastest man on the planet for the upcoming IAAF Monaco Diamond League. The company is also offering bib sponsorship to every participant of the men’s 100m racing event.
Eric Hollreiser, director of corporate communications for PokerStars, said:
“PokerStars is proud to support the men’s 100m race at the IAAF Monaco Diamond League and further our relationship with Usain Bolt. Usain is one of the greatest athletes in history, and we look forward to seeing him in what will be an exciting event for sport fans around the world.”
Bolt has also been a PokerStars ambassador since June. His task is to promote poker as well as showcase the game to any new players. In his first campaign, he went head-to-head with Hollywood’s own Kevin Art in a poker duel.
